    I received this Griffin ITrip this week in the post from Amazon and it is brilliant. I have only used it locally but the signal is really clear and it is so easy to set up - and I only ever read the instructions if something won’t work the first time! At the click of a button it scans, saves three preset stations, you set up your car stereo to one of the presets, switch on your Ipod and away you go. It saves the frequency so if you preset the frequency on your car stereo it is really easy to start up again when you get back in the car. I love it and would definitely recommend it!

    I read some of the reviews and found some people are missing the hidden feature of this product. This product has three modes US mode, EU mode and JP mode. Changing the mode means it changes the frequency range and the incrementation. If you need to go below 87.9 then use JP mode otherwise EU mode is good enough for most people. US mode is useless as it increments in 0.2 and has a range of 88.1 to 107.9 The advantage of using frequncies lower than 87.9 is they are not used hence as long as your radio supports it, you can get good sound without having to re-tune whilst travelling long distances. To change to EU,JP or US modes, Press function and hold the MODE button for 10 seconds and then select the required mode and wait until the frequency appears.

    US mode 81.1 to 107.9 increments 0.2;

    EU mode 88.0 to 108.0 increments 0.1;

    JP mode 76.0 to 90.0 increments 0.1.

    This item performs well and transmits a clear signal. The smart scan is a good function however it does scan every time you turn it on which can be irritating especially if you program your radio to one frequency. However it does store your stations so you can find the previous frequency through the menus. The cable is of good length and allows enough length to put your ipod in the glove box/seat/dash. It also looks quite smart in a shiny piano black.

    All in all a good purchase and i would strongly recommend it.

    I am a bit of a techno phobe these days and hadn’t got a clue what I was looking for. As it was a present for my husband I wanted to be sure it would work. There are some terrible products out there, I am told. Delivery was swift and packaged well. It did exactly what it was supposed to and in seconds. Love it. Went from Midlands to east coast & didn’t have to touch it once.
